  6. This is the READ.ME file for TurboDLD v1.01. It contains
  7. information that has changed or is different from the Installation
  8. Guide, as well as some other useful tips.

  11. I. TIPS/ERRATA/FEATURES/REVISIONS
  12. ============================================================
  13.  
  14. - When using TurboDLD with AutoCAD R12, it is not necessary to
  15. run the FASTACAD.BAT file copied during installation. This file
  16. is included for AutoShade only. Likewise the FAST3DS.BAT file is
  17. used for 3D Studio configuration. TurboDLD will be found automatically
  18. via the AutoCAD 12's ACADDRV environment variable. Please be sure
  19. that ACADDRV includes the path to the TurboDLD sub-directory if 
  20. you did not install the driver into \ACAD\DRV.
  21.  
  22. - Please be aware that there is a C1 revision to AutoCAD R12. This
  23. revision corrects various digitizer and plotter problems.
  24.  
  25. - Rendering Resolution options will be available only when
  26. configuring a Rendering device, not directly from the Graphics
  27. Board/Resolution Menu as indicated in the Installation Guide.
  28. Rendering options will appear when AutoCAD R12's AVE Render
  29. is first configured or when configuring 3D Studio or AutoShade.
  30. It may be necessary to reconfigure AVE Render by using the
  31. RCONFIG command at the AutoCAD command prompt. Also note that
  32. TurboDLD is a combined Display/Rendering driver therefore, you
  33. should select that option from AVE Render's configuration menu.

  35. - Erasing small objects may result in a few stray pixels being
  36. left on the screen. Issue a REDRAW to remove them from the
  37. screen.
  38.  
  39. - The PMODELINE width is as large as possible given the
  40. current screen dimensions and font character size. If less
  41. area is desired, switch to a smaller font size.
  42.  
  43. - There is no longer a Remove or Overwrite mode for the Display
  44. List. TurboDLD functions as the Remove mode did in previous DLD
  45. versions, eliminating flashing of erased vectors, without affecting
  46. performance.
  47.  
  48. - For those persons with low CPU RAM and less than 20mb of available hard
  49. disk space you should use the -SWAPCHK ON switch to configure AutoCAD. 
  50. This switch will give you the option of saving your drawing when AutoCAD
  51. starts to run out of disk space.   The way you configure this is to change
  52. into your AutoCAD program sub-directory and at the prompt type:
